The short version
- Identify whether the starting amount is a sale price, a net offer or non-withdrawable wallet credit.
- Apply each percentage to its stated base and record the currency of every fixed charge.
- Compare the final amount in the receiving account, with unavailable costs marked unknown.
Label the starting number before subtracting anything
Start your comparison sheet with the exact item, the quoted amount, its currency and what that amount represents. A displayed reference valuation, a proposed sale price and a quote already including deductions require different calculations. SkinCashier's FAQ says its valuations reference Steam prices and can be lower for items with low volume or unstable prices. That supports checking the actual offer, not applying a universal discount to every skin.
Steam's Community Market FAQ says its sale proceeds remain in Steam Wallet and cannot be withdrawn to a bank or third-party account. If a reference price comes from that market, label it as a reference rather than cash you could otherwise collect. A difference from a Steam price is not automatically a named service fee. Ask which deductions are already included before subtracting them again.

Give each deduction a base, currency and stage
Use a separate entry for selling commission, payout charges, conversion and any receiving-provider charge. For each entry, record who imposes it, whether it is fixed or percentage-based, the amount it applies to and whether the displayed quote already includes it. ShadowPay's payout policy makes the processor relationship separate and assigns certain provider-related costs to the user. This is evidence that checking only the marketplace's commission can leave the calculation incomplete.
Avoid importing a percentage from another payout method or an old screenshot. ShadowPay's public FAQ contains both a commission section and pricing language about an included service fee, without enough transaction context to reconstruct every quote. Use that as a prompt to request an itemized explanation. This guide does not adopt those public numbers as confirmed current rates for a particular sale.

Worked example: USD 200 becomes AUD 266.23
Every number in this example is invented for arithmetic practice. Assume a completed sale price of USD 200.00, an 8% selling fee on that price, a 2% payout fee on the remaining proceeds, a further USD 1.50 fixed payout charge, an effective conversion rate of AUD 1.50 per USD and an AUD 2.00 receiving charge. Assume no other charges. These are not rates from ShadowPay, Wise or any other service.
The selling fee is USD 200.00 multiplied by 0.08, or USD 16.00, leaving USD 184.00. The payout percentage applies to USD 184.00: multiplied by 0.02, it is USD 3.68. That leaves USD 180.32. Subtract the USD 1.50 fixed charge to reach USD 178.82 available for conversion.
Convert USD 178.82 at AUD 1.50 per USD to obtain AUD 268.23. Subtract the AUD 2.00 receiving charge last. The hypothetical final receipt is AUD 266.23. The exchange rate is defined as effective after any conversion margin; adding another assumed conversion percentage would count that cost twice. Actual providers may calculate fees in another order, so copy their stated method.
At the same hypothetical exchange rate, the starting USD 200.00 equals AUD 300.00. The difference is AUD 33.77, or approximately 11.26% of that starting equivalent. This is a total reduction within the example, not a published commission. The two percentage fees alone remove 9.84%, not 10%, because the second applies to a smaller balance.

Compare quotes at the same endpoint
Wise's conversion help distinguishes the exchange rate from a separate conversion fee that varies by currency. Its structure illustrates why an exchange rate alone cannot describe every conversion cost. It does not establish Wise as an available payout route for a skin service. In your own worksheet, distinguish a separately charged conversion fee from a margin already embedded in the rate.
Suppose a second fictional quote states AUD 275.00 after every charge through to the receiving account. Against the worked example's AUD 266.23, its stated final amount is AUD 8.77 higher. That comparison works only if both concern the same item and comparable quote conditions. If the second figure excludes receiving charges, mark the difference provisional. Keep quote times and expiry conditions beside the amounts; avoid comparing a fresh offer with a saved estimate as if both were available together.

Check availability separately, then reconcile the receipt
A correct sum does not establish that its starting balance can be paid out. ShadowPay distinguishes proceeds from skin sales from refilled balance and describes seller proceeds being held under its reversal policy. Record whether your calculation starts from available sale proceeds. Do not label held or restricted funds as money already received.
Before a transfer, retain the item identifier, quote, fee breakdown, destination currency and receiving-account details privately. After a payment, compare the sale record, payout record and receiving statement. Look for the first stage where the amounts differ instead of assuming the whole discrepancy is a selling fee. ShadowPay identifies its processor as primarily responsible for payout-related support; use the relevant service's official route and ask which specific entry explains the difference. An unexplained deduction remains unresolved, not zero.

Questions & answers
Can I simply add the selling and withdrawal percentages?
Only if both apply to the same base. In this fictional example, 8% of USD 200 followed by 2% of USD 184 removes USD 19.68, or 9.84%, before the fixed charges. Confirm the fee bases in the actual quote.
Does a mid-market exchange rate mean conversion is free?
No. Wise documents a separate currency-conversion fee alongside its mid-market rate. Check the fee and rate together; this does not imply Wise supports the skin payout you are considering.
Can a Steam Market valuation be my guaranteed cashout amount?
No. Steam Market proceeds are non-withdrawable wallet funds, while SkinCashier documents its own item-pricing adjustments. Use a cash quote and its conditions rather than treating a reference valuation as a bank receipt.
